Freshwater Swimming Holes

Bikini Beach

“Bikini” Beach: Frog Lake Public Access: Follow Alton Rd. north, past East Twin Lake. Access road will be on the left. Not well marked and not on Google Maps—a local secret! See kayak/canoe launch map in the Info Package when you get to campsite. (20 minute drive)

 

East Dalhousie Community Beach

This small rustic beach is located across the road from the Anglican Church on the East Dalhousie Road and is maintained by the East Dalhousie Community Club. (6 minute drive)

Aylesford Lake Beach

Indian Falls

Has a picnic area, walking trails, lookoff points, outhouses.

ATV/Snowmobile Trails

Grab a trail map or download the Polaris Ride App and plan an epic offroad adventure. Don't forget your permits, helmets, water, and First Aid kit! Cell service is limited.

Greenwood Dump Station:

Address: Central Avenue & Kingswood Road, Greenwood, Nova Scotia, CDN, B0P 1N0

Notes: behind the Greenwood Mall, follow signs

Water Available: rinse water (non-potable) available; the water is potable/municipal, use own hose for sanitary reasons.

Dump Station User Fee: Free

 

Bridgewater Dump Station

Address: 463 North Street, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, CDN, B4V 2W9

Driving Directions: Highway 103 Exit 12; Exit 12 South to Bridgewater, the Irving is located on the East side of Hwy. 10 and just before the exit to Lahave Street

Notes: near the far-left corner of truck parking area; 24 hr service, gas, diesel and propane available

Water Available: rinse water (non-potable) available

Season / Operational: Open year-round
